Projects Under Consideration
Update on Corner Erosion Control Project
that has been under
consideration to help alleviate erosion from corner-cutting
vehicles:
Erosion Control at the
street edge of a number of corner lots is at
the top of the action list. Intersections particularly along
Foxbrook Drive are examples. The repair consists of
an edging and river rock to fill in
the eroded soil. Alternately, low growing shrubs may be added as
an
enhancement. In 2011 the Board added the roap to further protect
the corners and received a lot of good feedback at the Annual
Meeting in June.
We welcome your comments and ideas...

We have been advised by
the North Carolina Department of Transportation
that the 15 foot wide right-of-way along all state maintained
roads
must be free of any obstructions. Any structure, either permanent
or
temporary, would be considered a traffic hazard and is not
allowed.
Further, temporary stakes used by many homeowners are considered
illegal and should be removed for the subdivision to be in
compliance
with D.O.T. regulations.
