Frequently Asked Questions

How much are dues?
Answer: Currently, annual dues are $132.00. Dues for the year are due January 1st. Notices are sent out in February and are considered late after March 15th. Please note, it is the homeowner's responsiblity to inform the HOA of any address changes.

Dues are based on the calendar year. Dues that are due January 1 are for the following year. For example, the payment made on January 1, 2021 covers the homeowner for the entire year of 2021. If a homeowner sells their home during the year, they can receive a pro rated portion of their dues in the closing of their home.

Where are you located?
Answer: South of Raleigh, North Carolina on Lake Wheeler Road. Click on the Google Map link in the upper left corner for more information.

Do I have to let the HOA know before I make changes to exterior of my home/lot?
Answer: Yes. In general, no exterior alterations shall be considered for approval unless such alterations or additions are in harmony with existing structures, as to style, shape, color, and size. See Article V of the CC & R's and please refer to the Landscape & Architecture link for more information.

How does the HOA spend the dues I pay every year?
Answer: A bulk of the money goes to landscaping the common areas in the neighborhood. We do set money aside for projects such as curbing the entry to the neighborhood and the enhanced street signs. Any Homeowner may view the association financial records by attending the annual meeting, or you can receive the handouts from the most recent annual meeting.

E-mail?
Answer: In the past, the Homeowners Association has had the need to contact all homeowners due to a break in, a lost pet, etc. Please provide your e-mail address. It will only be used in emergencies. Use the "Contact Us" link in the upper right corner.

It costs the HOA over $50 for each mailing (Dues Notice, Dues Reminders, Foxmoor Flier, Garage Sale, Picnic, etc.). If you would like to save the HOA some money, let us know. We'll also use your e-mail for general correspondence too.

Notes: We take your privacy seriously and we won't fill your inbox with cat videos -- we send out approx. six to ten e-mails per year.

Answer: Please contact the board (via mail or e-mail) with a description and the address of the violation.

I'd like to make a change to the Foxmoor Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions?
Answer: According to Article VII, Section 3, an amendment requires an instrument signed by not less than 75% of lot owners. For Board support, proposed amendments require approval from the Board before consideration for a community vote. Approval would require a written proposal (submitted at a monthly Board meeting or annual HOA meeting) and arguments in favor of changing the CC & R's. Further, any pursued changes will not be at the expense of the Association. To review the CC & R's, click on the link in the upper left corner: "CC & R's"

No solicitation? Can my child go door to door to collect for school / scouts / church / etc?
Answer: Yes. This question came up at the Annual Board Meeting for all homeowners, June 23, 2011. The Board and those in attendance decided it was OK for children of homeowners to go door to door for fundraisers. The "No solicitation" sign at the entrance of Foxmoor is geared toward solicitation from outside the neighborhood. Need additional clarification - please contact the board (via mail or e-mail).

Where does Foxmoor get its water?
Answer: Aqua America operates two wells in the neighborhood. They can be reached at (877) 987-2782.
